The nickel-plated copper heatpipe is paired with 50 aluminum fins arranged for maximum air flow and minimal dust clogging that can reduce efficiency. The milled base on the heatsink guarantees a great surface contact area, greatly increasing the efficiency of the unit. The baffles around the fan direct the outgoing airflow onto the fins. And since keeping the memory chips cool is as important as it is for the GPU there are 8 aluminum heat sinks for them. The streamlined design and ceramic fan bearing keep the fan extremely quiet at 14.7dBA. The design also allows you to use the cooler in SLi/CrossFire applications.
