Arm yourself with the American M1 Garand and Thompson submachine gun, or pick up the Japanese Type 100 SMG and Type 38 rifle. Fight your way through the thick jungles around Henderson Field on Guadalcanal, defend a strategic airfield in the Philippines or take Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima in brutal cave to cave and hand-to-hand combat. Take part in squad-based missions or join in battle with local or online players in five multi-player modes. The realistically rendered and lit environments are full of areas where the sun breaks through the trees as well as plenty of shadows which change dynamically as you move through the area. Your enemies take full advantage of the shadows to ambush you. Not all of your enemies will be lurking in the underbrush, however, as you'll be called upon to man a machine gun to repel banzai charges or operate a quad-.50 anti-aircraft turret to take on low-flying Zeros along the hard road to Tokyo.
