"Everyone knows that a four leaf clover is a lucky charm, but finding a charm such as this is a fabulous treat ! This elegant little antique pin is most attractive not because it is a four leaf clover, but because the leaves are made of very old, hand cut Amethyst glass in tear drop or pear shapes. This pin is very old and was made in the 1920-1930 era. The setting is all brass that was painted with in dark antique gold gilt. All of the Amethyst stones are securely prong set and at the center is a small glass round that is old lead glass with a grey tint. Look at the Amethyst stones closely, and you can see that the facets were hand cut as the bevels are all slightly different. The pin has the original hinge, bar and C clasp closure. This petite little beauty is not tiny and is about the size of a US 50 cent piece. It measures about 1 1/4"" tall x 1"" wide. The pin is in excellent condition with no signs of wear. There are no chips, cracks or scratches on any of the Amethyst glass stones. The pin is not signed, but it was most likely made in Czechoslovakia or the Bohemia region. "
