"When I look at this pin, I see a lady dressed in all white looking in the mirror. It is winter during WWII and as wraps her white fur around her neck, she fastens this dreamy pastel clip to her white outfit. Maybe a powder blue chiffon scarf is the only other color she needs. This is by far one of the most astonishing fur clips Coro ever made. This piece was designed by Gene Verrecchio and was made in 1941. This grape cluster fruit pin is not signed but this design patent is featured in several notable costume jewelry books. The powder blue, light pink and lemon meringue moonstones are domed Lucite beads. Ladies also wore this clip on light grey and dark grey coats and furs. The clip is made of rhodium plated pot metal and the ribbon has rhinestones paves and white enamel. Between the moonstones are bezel set rhinestones as well. The moonstones are open backed and incoming light really makes the pastel colors glow. You will be very pleased to know that this pin is in pristine condition and looks like it has never been worn. All for the moonstones are perfectly glossy and scratch free. All of the rhinestones are original, present and sparkling. There is no wear to the white enamel or wear to the pot metal or the clip. This is large presentation piece at 2 3/4"" long x 1 3/4"" wide. Note : These pastel colors are rare to find in this design. This brooch was also made in other colors, usually just one color at a time. This brooch in all blue moonstones is easily found. "
