"From the 1930s, this Roman chariot brooch is pulled by three galloping horses. The design of this piece is rather unique and it is a great example of old machine stamped metal jewelry. The pin is made of brass with an antiqued gold finish and the piece has nice weight. The chariot wheel is silver metal and it spins around. The faceted circles on the wheel were never set with stones as this design was made to highlight the silver metal facets, adding intrique to the spinning effect of the wheel. The chariot has nice scrolled details and the Roman warrior wears an helmet. The pin has the original fine working safety clasp and is not signed. The metal has an antique patina that has not been polished or altered. The pin is clean and shows no signs of wear or other imperfections. This is rather large piece that measures 2 3/4"" long x 1 3/4"" tall."
