Antique Oriental Sterling Earrings Engraved Orbs

"These antique sterling earrings are unlike any pair I?ve ever seen ! They are very rare, and I doubt you will ever see another pair like them again ! The earrings date from the 1910-1920 era and were expertly crafted in Japan. The dangles are four sided orbs with engraved or beveled designs. The ear posts are prong set small onyx rounds. The way in which these earrings were made is similar to the Damascene technique, but it is a much older type of Japanese craftsmanship that doesnt technically have a name. The earrings are screw backs and they hang down 1 1/2"" long x 3/4"" wide. They are signed Silver and the letter A, which may be an early Amita hallmark. The earrings are in excellent condition for age and appear to have rarely been worn. They are very clean and the old silver patina has been retained. Ive seen hundreds of pairs of antique sterling earrings, and Ive never seen another pair like these !"
