Antique Pearl Brooch or Pin Unique Post War Custom Gold Brooch

"This charming, very unusual pearl pin dates from the late 1930's or early 1940's. It is made of twisted and curled solid flat gold gilted copper wire. The large faux pearl balloons are satin gold. The brooch is in very fine vintage condition with low wear and is all original. The pearls have holes in the tops if you want to add additional stone. I dont know why there are holes, but it is how the brooch was made. This piece is not signed, but it was most likely made in Austria or Germany. Balloon brooches were a popular motif in the 1940's, but they are very uncommon to find today. It is 3 3/4"" tall x 2 1/4"" wide."
