"This very old sterling silver ring is known as a Friendship ring. It is a hand tooled ring that was made in England around the turn of the century during the Art Nouveau period. These types of antique rings are given to express friendship, given with the promise of marriage, and given to celebrate memorable occasions. The ring is a slender design and is a size 5. The band is very thick and the exterior has large sterling beads and twisted rope borders. The ring is perfectly round and has no signs of wear. It is in excellent condition for age and is signed 925. The band measures just 1/8"" wide."
