"These elegant button style earrings are made in a classic Greek head fashion. The gold coin like buttons are the head of Aphrodite, or the Goddess of love and son of Venus, also known to the Romans as cupid. The Greek head is in relief and finished in 14kt satin gold gilt. The round shadow box frame is navy blue enamel with polished gold trim on the inside and outside. The earrings are for pierced ears and are in unworn, like new condition. They are slightly larger than a US quarter, or 1 1/16"" wide. The backs have an excellent ribbed finish in satin gold. The earrings are not signed, but they were certainly designer made."
