Art Deco Copper Necklace w Earrings Modernist Ribbons w Fans

"At first sight, some might believe this vintage copper necklace to be an early Renoir or Rebajes design, but it is not. The design features polished copper curled ribbons with interior fan designs. This is a very old design from the end of Art Deco Era, or the Retro Modern period of 1935-1945. Although the necklace is not signed, Im fairly certain it was made in Germany. There is a slight possibility is was made by Kim and Morley Crimi, but I lean more heavily towards it being German. There are tell tale little signs to indicate the country of origin that I will disclose to the new owner. Not everyone knows what I do about old copper jewelry and I like to keep some things in my favor ! The necklace is not petite in design and is not light weight. The solid copper sections have opposing twists as the tops are curled down and the bottoms are curled under. The decorative section of the necklace is 10"" long and the necklace is 17"" long overall. The connectors, figure 8 chain, jump rings and hook are solid copper as well. The round end ball is brass. The necklace is in excellent condition with no scratches, grime or greening. The copper surfaces have a high polish finish and there is only light swirls from polishing. The back of the copper sections are partially burnished black (when made) and the backs are a satin finish. There is some light to moderate wear on the backs. The necklace has been lightly polished for sanitation but the copper retains the original old patina. The matching clip earrings are 1 1/2"" tall and are very clean, and also show some light swirls from polishing."
