Art Deco Bird of Paradise Brooch Big Rhinestone Peacock Pin Vintage

"This lavish old peacock bird is a fabulous collectors piece. This brooch is a book piece and can be found in Leigh Lesners Vintage Jewelry book on page 138. This bird is in mint, flawless condition which is stunning for a piece that dates from the 1930's. The long tailed bird is a large and heavy piece as well. It is 4"" long x 2 1/4"" wide. The bird is three dimensional and is completely covered in clear rhinestone paves. The rhinestones are actually tiny cut crystals with excellent light reflective qualities. The eye is a green rhinestone. The brooch is made of thick pot metal that is expertly molded with a smooth finish on the back. The pot metal was rhodium plated and the finish is not worn, not even on the edges or anywhere between all the paves. All of the rhinestones are original, present, and sparkling clear. The brooch has the original safety clasp and is not signed. The entire piece is exceptionally clean as well. This brooch is a superb gem, and old bird pieces like this are very rare to come by in such excellent condition as this. "
