"These vintage earrings date from the 1980s and were made in India. The earrings are a great style that is not being made there anymore. The earring are large layered round medallions, made of thin hammered brass and patinized with purple, turquoise and cobalt acid stains. The stains have a water color effect and the colors are rich and deep. The rounds have polished brass rims and the earrings are clips. This design could easily be converted to pierced if you desire. The medallions at the ear post is slightly larger than a US quarter and the largest round medallion is 2 1/4"" wide. The earrings hang down 3 1/2"" long overall and are in pristine, like new unworn condition. "
