Bogoff truly rivaled Weiss and Eisenberg in quality and attention to craftsmanship. As these earrings are signed Bogoff earrings without the copyright, the date to the early 1950s. Bogoffs early designs are the most desirable and their jewelry with marquise crystals is rather rare. Although they were only in business for about 2 decades, their early designs are far superior to their later jewelry in the 1960s. ( This accounts for a wide price variation in Bogoff Jewelry. There is a big difference between high quality Austrian crystals used here, and later jewelry that was mostly rhinestones. ) These three dimensional crystal flowers have tiered and angled dazzling crystals set in thickly polished silver rhodium. The crystals have remarkable rainbow light reflective qualities. There are 8 marquise crystals and one round chaton per earring. Each crystal is 3/8"" long. The earrings are almost 1"" wide, or about the size of a US quarter. Both earrings have silver rhodium clips with no wear and tight snap, and both earrings are signed Bogoff.
