Copper Pin Gothic Beetle Bug Signed JJ Vintage 1950s

"It is very rare to find solid copper jewelry that is signed JJ. I have only seen two pins they made in copper. This is one of them, and the other one is a copper fish pin that is here in my shop as well. This gothic looking beetle bug was made sometime between 1955 and 1965. The beetle has deep molded body lines, defined legs and antennas. The raised ribs you see on the body and the head were hand applied and soldered, which accounts for the darkened black solder patina. The copper has a satin finish and the bug truly looks like a very old or antique piece. The beetle is a nice medium size at 1 3/4"" long x 1 1/4"" wide. The copper is in excellent condition with no scratches or dings. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and the pin is signed JJ with copyright."
