Copper Ring Antique 1930s w Red Agate Heart

"An elderly lady in Tennessee remembers buying this ring as a teenager back in the 1930's. The ring is a large red agate heart in a hand made copper bezel with a rope border. The mount and ring band is all copper as well. The ring is a size 6. The face of the heart is rather large and is 7/8"" tall x 3/4"" wide. This ring is not signed and it could have been made in 1 of 2 places. It could be an unsigned West German ring, or it could have been made locally by Cherokee Indians. The ring is very well crafted and solid. I have polished the face of the agate but it still shows some light wear. It retains a good shiny finish, and the deep russet coloration is a fine agate specimen. On the top right of the stone, you will notice in my pictures that there is a greyish spot. It is not damage, it is part of the natural coloration in the agate. Also, look closely at the perimeter of the heart, as the copper was hand tooled to shape. It is not damaged, just roughly bent in some spots. You will also notice in some areas a silver coloration. It appears the copper was soldered with silver, so in some spots you have a copper and silver mix. There is no damage to the ring band and the solder joints are tight."
