"These jelly belly owl scatter pins were made by Adolph Katz of Coro in 1950. These petite owls are gold vermeil over silver metal. The blue Lucite bellies look lighter in the photos as the Lucite is actually baby blue. The owls have fascinating hot pink rhinestones eyes. The eyes really jump out because they are old V pointed back rhinestones with many small radiating facets. Each owl sits on a crescent moon paved in small white faux pearls. This pair of pins are not signed, but you can see this is a Coro design by referring to patent # 158087. Both pins are in very excellent condition with no loss of gold, no scratches, and all of the pearls and rhinestones are original and present. Both pins are very clean and have their original fine working safety clasps. Each pin measures just 1"" tall x 3/4"" wide. The price you see here is for the pair."
