"This tropical fish pin is designer signed by Mamselle and dates from the late 1970s or early 1980s. This is an excellent quality pin and the fish has a bold, highly domed, life like design. Most Mamselle jewelry pins were not very outstanding but this fabulous fish is one of their most superb creations. The brooch is polished gold metal and the bands between the metallic cobalt and metallic emerald enamels are polished gold as well. The face and pectoral fin is paved with dazzling clear rhinestone chatons. The eye has a protruding bezel set clear rhinestone. This entire brooch is in pristine like new condition with no imperfections. The enamels are perfect and all of the rhinestones are present and dazzling. The back is finished in textured glistening gold and the original fine working safety clasp is in place. MAMSELLE -B. B. GREENBERG CO - 1962-1995 The B.B. Greenberg Co. was founded in 1962 by Ronald Green Jr., Richard Pierce, and Noel Field Jr. in Providence, RI. Jewelry designs included lady bugs, turtles, ducks, birds, rabbits, bears, owls, cats, dogs, fish, horse, lambs, leafs, mushrooms, flowers, wreaths, Christmas trees, and hearts made into pins and pendants. Some of the workers were employed at Coro making jewelry for that company. The B.B. Greenberg Co. was dissolved on March 16, 1995."
