"This is a jaw dropping Art Deco Pin ! It was made in France by famous jewelry designer Pierre Bex. The pin is not old but it is a retired reproduction piece by Pierre Bex, and his jewelry is not cheap by any means, because the quality is exceptional. This pinwheel feather design has textured Guilloche enamels in ivory and peach. The Guilloche feathers are flanked on both sides by feathers encrusted with clear Austrian rhinestones. The center area is black enamel. The rounded wreath design is coated with clear Lexan that is thick like glass. The brooch is made of silver pot metal and has an old trombone style inset clasp. The back is finish is satin silver paint. This pin is the medium in size and is not ostentatious at 1 3/8"" wide. This pin is not signed as most of Pierre Bex Jewelry is not signed, but it is undoubtedly their craftsmanship. All PIERRE BEX items were made in France from 1969 until the end of the 80'. The factory is now closed but the very high quality of its production, the use of the original toolings and of the best materials give these items a great value."
