"When it comes to large gold flower brooches, no one made them like Hattie Carnegie. Her imaginative designs and her perfected use of heavy gold gilt is simply unmatched. I am fairly certain that this is the only style of an all gold flower that she ever made. There a few other styles of all gold pins she made that are very rare to find as well. Personally, I prefer to collect her all gold pieces for this reason and because these brooches look fabulous with other gold jewelry and they do not clash with other jewelry you might wear as they are not adorned with colored rhinestones or other flashy stones. This large 24 kt gold gilt flower brooch has a mesmerizing combination of alternating etched satin gold and highly polished petals. The flower lays in a life like free form fashion and features a large blooming ball center. The brooch measures 3"" wide and will fill the palm of your hand. It is in pristine, mint condition and has the Hattie Carnegie cartouche with no copyright, as this piece dates to pre 1955. The brooch has the original fine working safety clasp with no wear as well.
