"These vintage 1960s starfish earring are super spectacular ! They are big oval domes of clear Lucite. They look purple because the insides of the backs are painted with silver metallic lavender purple paint. The glowing, glistening effect is very luminous and something not often seen in old Lucite jewelry. The starfish is carved into the dome, textured in a beaded pattern, and painted with silver metallic turquoise paint. The earrings are large and measure 1 3/4"" long x 1 1/4"" wide. Both earrings are in pristine condition and are perfectly clean as well. Now, the earrings are clips, but they can easily be converted to pierced. These earrings would be converted so that the ear stud was close to the top of the earring ( not at the center) so that 2/3 of the earring would hang below your ear lobe. "
