Murano Glass Necklace Big Moretti Flower Canes Vintage 1950s

"This is one of the most outstanding Murano necklaces you will ever see ! I consider this necklace rather rare as the big round beads are packed tight with large Moretti flower canes, all hand applied. The flower canes are raised little buttons on top the black glass rounds. This necklace dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s and has brilliant colors of tango orange, bright yellow, cobalt, turquoise and more. There are 15 large beads on this necklace, each is about the size of a grape, or 1/2"" wide. Each bead has four different flower canes. The beads are strung on old brass wire, hand looped on each side of every bead and spaced with small Citrine glass beads. The necklace is 20"" long with the original gold metal extension chain which has a small Murano flower cane bead on the end. The necklace can be hooked anywhere between 15"" and 20"" long. All of the beads are in perfect condition with no signs of wear or abuse. There are no chips or cracks on any of the beads and only the brass wire shows a darkened patina from age. "
