"These old American Indian Sterling and Turquoise earrings are sensational ! The earrings were completely hand made and date from the late 1940s or early 1950s. They are a very rare old pair to find and are mos likely Navajo. The earrings are thunderbirds, which is an Indian symbol of power, strength and nobility. The oval turquoise cabs are bezel set, and are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Notice the hand tooled engraving on the birds that is deep and geometric. The earrings are screw backs and both are signed sterling.Both earrings are in excellent condition with little signs of age or wear.Both earrings are very nice and clean and retain their old patina. I have not cleaned the earrings, and the photos are the original condition. The birds measure about 1"" long x 3/4"" wide. "
