"This vintage sea shell necklace is a real shell that is called a limpet. Limpets this large are very uncommon to find, let alone one that has been made into a pendant ! Limpets are oval with a pyramid like dome, and the colors you see are natural . The peak is just like Mother of Pearl and the concentric ribs around the border are brown and pale green stripes. The shell has a high polish finish and measures 2 5/8"" long with the bail. It is a large piece that will almost fill the palm of your hand. The gold metal necklace chain is 16"" long. The shell, chain and clasp are in perfect condition."
