Tortoise Lucite Necklace w Earrings Vintage 1950s Ethnic Germany

"This is a married set with the necklace signed West Germany and the clip earrings signed Laguna. All are from the 1950's. The necklace is a stunning combination of Lucite and thermoplastic beads with glowing Amber undertones. The beads are richly molded and heavy. They feel and look like glass. The irregular molded large beads are striped Tortoise Lucite with gold glitter inside. There are also similar beads in golden clear, with Tortoise stripes. The round baroque beads are a honey color and they are very unusual as light appears to glow from inside of them. The other oval and irregular molded plastic beads are shades of marbled caramel and sienna. I know this sounds confusing, because there are so many magnificent beads here! The necklace is three strands that range from 14"" to 18"" long. The necklace is 18"" long overall with the chain extender. It can be made longer with an additional section of chain if you desire, and I can do so upon request. The necklace has silver tone metal leaf findings in perfect shape and again, the necklace is signed West Germany. The entire necklace is in pristine condition. The earrings are superb quality, signed Laguna, and are all glass and crystals. The head pins are brass and the beads are wired, not glued, to the silver tone backs.There are topaz and black faceted crystals with gold metal filigree bead caps. The glass disk beads are chocolate brown and black. The earrings are in mint condition with no wear and have good strong clips. They are 1"" wide. This is a fabulous set to wear in the fall or winter."
